Kristin's love for fitness has been lifelong. At a young age she dabbled with every sport from water polo to golf, but ultimately dedicated many years to competitive swimming. Over the years, swimming became more than a sport for Kristin. It became the perfect outlet for discipline and hard work that left her feeling physically and mentally strong-- in other words, she just plain felt good and happy.
Kristin's father is famous for reciting the Henry MacKay quote, 'Find something you love to do, and you'll never have to work a day in your life'. Being fascinated by the feel-good power of fitness and curious about wellness, Kristin began her journey to make her passion her life's work by attending Elon University to study Exercise Sports Science and Business.
After earning her degree, Kristin dedicated the next 6 years to corporate fitness and wellness. During this time she worked for a prominent corporate fitness and wellness company. She first worked in fitness management at a private fitness center in Chicago, IL, and later as the Regional Wellness Coordinator for a high profile client in Ohio. Through these positions Kristin gained in-depth experience in employee health and wellness. Highlights of her experiences include: personal training, teaching group fitness classes, fitness testing, nutritional guidance, group exercise program management, incentive design and implementation, and creating/delivering health and wellness materials and lectures.
Kristin holds several fitness/wellness certifications through top-tier certifying bodies. She has been Spinning certified by Mad Dogg Spinning and is a certified personal trainer through American Council on Exercise. Kristin holds yoga certifications through YogaFit and SCW Fitness, as well as The Chicago School of Yoga, a Yoga Alliance registered program.
Kristin is most inspired by helping others find joy and health through fitness and wellness. She loves seeing growth in her clients and positive changes in lifestyle and health. She specializes in individualized fitness programming combined with thoughtfulness, compassion and encouragement
